Terps Still Lead
By Sunday night, DeMatha Catholic power forward Travis Garrison had returned home from his official visit to Maryland. Armed with the news that Michigan had received a pair of commitments over the weekend, Garrison adjusted his list accordingly. "It's just Maryland and Miami right now," Garrison said.
He further added that the Terps were still in the lead for his services and the visit went over well. "It was nice. I really enjoyed myself."
With that said and his list trimmed, Garrison could be ready to pop an announcement. "I'm going to try and do it within this week. I'm just not sure when."
Barring some sudden change of heart, it's entirely conceivable that Garrison could announce for Maryland by week's end, giving the Terps a recruiting class that would consist of John Gilchrist, Chris McCray, Nik Caner-Medley and himself. Each player occupies a different position and the class would be extremely well rounded and laced with Top 100 players.
