Berg Down To A Pair of Schools

Mount Holly (NC) East Gaston big man Tyler Berg has narrowed his choices to a pair of schools. He has one visit remaining and probably will decide shortly after making the trip.

WCU, Wofford Remain

Tyler Berg, a forward with the Charlotte Royals AAU team, is down to a pair of schools, according to his father. Western Carolina and Wofford are the two programs that remain in contention to land him.

Berg visited Western Carolina last weekend and is set to make the journey to Wofford the weekend of Oct. 6. "According to him, that's the last official he'll take," Berg's father said. "I don't think he'll take the official to East Tennessee State."

ETSU, VCU, Davidson, Wofford and Western Carolina were the schools he had been considering. Each did an in-home with him except Virginia Commonwealth.

"He wants a smaller school. He's not looking for a great big school. He's just comfortable with the coaches at both of them and has to see how comfortable he is with the players."
