Carter To Begin Taking Visits

Louisville (KY) Male power forward Levar Carter is starting to take some official visits. Carter called the process slow, but he's moving along and checking out his options.

Two Visits Set

Levar Carter, a lefty post player from Male in Kentucky, has been a big part of his high school team's success. He's a low-block scorer who works hard on the glass, despite being just 6-6.

Carter is about to start taking some official visits. He has one scheduled with Wright State for the weekend of Oct. 18 and the Marshall visit will be either the weekend prior or the weekend after checking out the Raiders.

"Right now, [the recruitment is] kind of slow," Carter said. "So far, it's Western Kentucky, Marshall, Manhattan, Wright State and East Tennessee … colleges like that." Carter indicated that most have offered.

Has has taken the ACT and was bit short on his first attempt, but will retake it in October. Last season, he averaged 10 points, 8 boards and 3 blocks.

"I would have to say my top three are Wright State, Western Kentucky and Marshall University."
