This week, Britton, a 6-8 forward, committed to the Owls after visiting Rice and Tulsa.
"I just was able to see myself playing in the future and I thought it was a good fit. The coaching staff seems like they've got a real handle on things."
Last season, Britton was a first-team all-city and second team all-region selection. In Mike Kunstadt's Texas Hoops newsletter, he's ranked as the No. 11 prospect in the state.
In the end, Rice just made sense to him. "I think the chemistry that was there between the players was good. I could see myself playing there. I have confidence that they'll bring in the right players."
