The 6-5, 187-pound Notre Dame Academy (Va.) senior wing is currently on a visit to James Madison and plans to take another official trip next weekend to Richmond before likely deciding between the two schools.
``I like the opportunity to come in and play right away and be an impact player," Posey said. "It's basically the same situation at James Madison and Richmond. Both head coaches are good developmental coaches and it's an opportunity to take a program in both cases that need a player to take them over the hump."
Posey could be that guy.
Richmond is only 90 minutes from home while James Madison is about 2 ½ hours away.
``I'll more than likely make a decision after I visit Richmond," he added. "There are pluses to each so I'm really not leaning one way or the other. Not until I see both."
Posey has always been viewed as a quality outside shooter, but the constant knock was whether he could put the ball on the floor.
``I know people question whether I can handle the ball, but I'm better at it than a lot of people think," Posey said. ``I really don't feel bad about the highest schools taking other guys. I'll have an opportunity at either Richmond or James Madison."
