Lawrence Hill, 6-8 JR PF Glendale (Ariz.) Deer Valley, is a very skilled and versatile young forward who shoots it deep, but also has the ability to do damage inside as well. We spoke with Hill over the weekend and asked about the schools showing interest in him so far.

"Most of the Pac-10 and some others," said Hill. "Tony Fuller (Stanford), Rob Evans (Arizona St.) and Sam Scholl (San Diego) came out to see me at my high school."

When asked if he has any favorites, Hill replied, "I like the Pac-10 schools, with Arizona and Stanford on top right now. But I also really like ASU and USC. I always liked Damon Archibald from USC, but he's at Iowa St. now."

Hill has taken unofficial visits to Arizona and Arizona State. "I went with my team to Arizona State and I went to Arizona with my parents," said Hill.

We asked Hill if he's in contact with any coaches on a regular basis. "My Dad and I call Tony Fuller, Sam Scholl and the guys at ASU."

Hill has some ideas in terms of what he's looking for in a school. "Somewhere that I fit in," said Hill. "In terms of the school, what I'm going to study...it won't just be about basketball. The location and early playing time won't be an issue though."

Don't look for a quick decision from Hill. "I'm going to take my time," said Hill. "My Dad wants me to stay open and not rush into anything."

A terrific student, Hill told us that he has a 4.38 GPA and he'll take the SAT in January.
