Clent Stewart Makes Surprising Choice

The Tulsa Union (Okla.) senior is one of the top remaining floor leaders on the board. Not anymore. Check out where Clent Stewart committed this past weekend.

Clent Stewart had the hometown school and a couple of the top academic schools on his list, but in the end the Tulsa Union (Okla.) 6-3, 170-pound senior point guard surprised some when he committed to Kansas State.

Stewart chose Kansas State over hometown Tulsa, Stanford and Vanderbilt.

``I felt like it's in a real good conference and it's only four hours away," Stewart said. "My parents will be able to come to the majority of the games."

``It's a little bit away from home, but not too far," Stewart added. "I think I can help get them to the top of the Big 12."
