Agnew Decides He'll Play In Big 12

Aaron Agnew, a 6-10 prospect from Bellaire (OH) High, is headed to the Big 12. Agnew reached his decision Sunday evening.

Iowa State's two man recruiting class just got a little bigger. 6-10, 360 pound Aaron Agnew, a center out of Bellaire (OH) High, joined Tasheed Carr and Rahshon Clark in the 2004 ISU recruiting class.

For Agnew, the opportunity to get on the court immediately was too tempting to pass up. "I know they'll be losing two big guys next year," Agnew said. "I'll be coming and they still want another big guy. Then, one of the big guys will be a senior. I can come in and get some playing time and grow after that."

Last season at Bellaire, Agnew averaged 22 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks.

"I'm just hoping to bring a little bit of power play and a little muscle inside."

The big fella also heard from Duquesne and Southern Cal and said that he was considering those two programs when he came down to make his final decision.
