Tulane Lands Fourth Commitment

Donnie Stith, a 6-7 PF out of Virginia Beach (VA) Salem is off the board. Last week, Stith opted to join Shawn Finney at Tulane and is the fourth member of the Green Wave's recruiting class.

Shawn Finney and the Tulane program now are the owners of four commitments from the Class of 2004. The latest commitment comes from Virginia where Salem PF Donnie Stith picked Tulane last week after visiting Old Dominion and the College of Charleston.

"When I went down there I really liked it down there," Stith said. "I felt comfortable with the players and coaches, not that I didn't feel comfortable with the other coaches. I knew it was a higher rated conference."

Playing at the highest level was very important to Stith. "That wasn't the deciding factor but it played a part in my decision. I just had a good feeling about them and I knew they're a real good academic school."

Stith expects to play small forward and a little bit of power forward at Tulane. He joins Matt Wheaton, Robinson Louisme and David Gomez in an outstanding class blessed with size.
