Barbour Picks Kentucky
It's been a wild year for Wabash Valley JC swingman Antwain Barbour. Now, things can begin to settle down. On Wednesday, Barbour picked the Kentucky Wildcats over UNLV and Indiana.
He's been one of the most coveted junior college players of the past few years and for good reason. He played on last summer's World University Games team. Prior to that, he led Wabash Valley to a juco national title when he averaged 23 points a game for the tournament.
The former Mr. Basketball in Kentucky has come a long way since his days at Elizabethtown High. Last year at Wabash, he averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds.
UK had passed on a number of wing targets like Derrick Byars and Rashad Anderson in order to hang in there with Barbour and it was important to the Wildcats to get the homegrown talent back in the Bluegrass State.
Barbour is the first player from Elizabethtown High to sign with Kentucky.
