Young To Make Unofficial

Homestead (FL) Berkshire center Kevin Young is on the move this weekend. The big fella is going to make an unofficial visit with his high school coach.

Could Decide Next Week

Kevin Young, a Top 100 prospect from The Berkshire School, is on the move this weekend. "He's going to unofficial to Missouri this weekend," head coach Rolando DeLaBarrera said. "He's down to [Missouri] and Miami."

Young has not taken the SAT yet, so he can't make an official visit. He's already been to Miami twice and since Mizzou was the only school he was considering and hadn't seen, it was time to get to Columbia.

Young might have enough information to decide next week. "The only thing that could happen is if he goes up there and doesn't like it and then isn't 100% on Miami and would tell me that he wanted to wait," DeLaBarrera said. "That's the only other scenario."

Apparently, Kentucky is out of the race for his signature. "Kentucky never came down here," DeLaBarrera said. "I think Kentucky was playing around with him thinking about the spring."

So, there you have it. Missouri and Miami battling for a developing big man. This one could go either way and may end as early as next week.

In other Berkshire news, swingman Ismael N'diaye visited Kansas State officially last weekend.
