Badgers Land Third Recruit

Wisconsin has its third commitment of the year. Boo Wade, a player capable of playing more than one position, is headed to Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Has Three For 2002

Maurice "Boo" Wade, a 6-2, 170 pounder from Milwaukee (WI) Vincent is headed to play for the Badgers.

"When I talked to them they made me decide that's where I want to go," Wade said. "They say that I'll be able to play the one, two and the three. It doesn't matter to me. I'll just be a perimeter player."

Over the course of the last few summers, Wade proved that he could be a really good perimeter player who isn't afraid to chip in on the glass. Like Alando Tucker and Ray Nixon, Wade represents a somewhat new style of players for Bo Ryan's program. There is no doubt that the Badgers are becoming more athletic and fast.

Wade said that Oklahoma was involved, but the Sooners recently received a number of wing commitments from DeAngelo Alexander and Kelenna Azubuike and once that happened there didn't appear to be much room for Wade.
