"A month ago many [colleges] were in touch and I told them I was going to sign late so they stopped [recruiting]," Palacios said. While Louisville and Florida have gone in different directions, Palacios says that St. John's, Baylor, Florida State and Pittsburgh are still aggressively pursuing him.
Palacios also said that Baylor is recruiting him the hardest at this juncture.
But, and this is the "X-Factor", Palacios is entertaining the idea of entering the draft.
"I have a trainer and everything. If it's possible I was thinking about making the jump. It's only if I can do it. I'm not going to make a mistake and be in the second round. Right now, people know me but not like other players."
As the season is set to begin, the NBA option would appear to be a distant one for Palacios and he understands that. "They might say they're going to draft me in the second round and I'd rather go to college and get more experience. If I don't go it wouldn't be bad to go to college and get one more life experience. Either way I'd be happy."
