Marcus Carter, Jr., 6-4 JR SG Claremont (Calif.) High, is a long and lean prospect who has drawn early interest from a number of schools. With continued development of his skills, he has a chance to play at the high major level.

"I've been getting stuff from Kansas, Washington, Cal and Texas Tech," said Carter. "Colorado State and Clemson both came out to my school."

When we asked if any school stood out from the pack, Carter replied, "I've always been a Bob Knight fan -- I like the way he pushes his players."

Carter said an AAC power was his favorite school when he was younger. "North Carolina was a school I liked growing up," said Carter. "They sent me a few things, but I haven't heard much from them."

We asked Carter about the factors that will influence his decision. "Weather is a big deal with me," said Carter. "The East Coast, with the snow, that's not me. I'm more of a West Coast person."

Carter said he'd like to make an early decision. "I prefer to get it done early," said Carter.

Carter told us that he has a 3.4 GPA and he's waiting on results from a PSAT test he took recently.
