MILFORD, Del. – Bobby Jacobs has done prep school enthusiasts a huge favor. The tournament director of the War On The Shore has assembled nearly 20 of the country's finest prep school teams all in one location this weekend.
The Milford Sports Arena – aka Milford H.S. – has been turned into a one-stop shop for all your prep school needs this weekend. The War On The Shore, in its second year, is the place where likely over 100 college coaches and loads of prospects will gather for three days of basketball action.
Tournament director Bobby Jacobs invited the elite prep school programs from around the country to partake in the event. Traditional powers like Hargrave and Fork Union gather under the same roof as up and comers like the Laurinburg Institute and IMG Academy.
Jacobs, who is never one to think on a small scale, has gone international with the event and invited a team from Canada – Champlain St. Lambert – which boasts a plethora of Division I prospects.
Early indications are that this War On The Shore will be loaded with players. From Dorell Wright (South Kent) to Robert Vaden (Bridgton), they'll be talent each tip the ball is tossed up.
For a complete listing of the games which be at 4 pm on Friday, go to the War On The Shore website for the weekend schedule.
