Spears Picks Buckeyes

Charlie Bass and Ricardo Billings have a new teammate. On Sunday, center Aaron Spears made it clear that he intends to play for OSU next season.

Spears To Ohio State

Aaron Spears, a 6-8, 260 pound big man from Chicago (IL) Dunbar, is headed to the Big Ten to play for Ohio State.

"The atmosphere and the players were great. They just showed so much support for their teams," Spears said.

The big fella is a veteran of the AAU circuit having traveled the past few years with Larry Butler's Illinois Warriors program. He's a big kid with some scoring tools down low. He'll be a young man who can come off the bench for the Buckeyes and give them size and a body in the paint.

"They want me to be a presence down low and score when needed," Spears said.
