St. Joe's, Pitt Neck and Neck
David Mallon, a 6-11 big man from East Aurora (NY) High, says he's looking at three schools, but two of them have emerged as the co-favorites.
"St. Joe's and Pitt are my top two right now," Mallon said. "I've got to take my official visit to Canisius in two weeks." Well, Canisius is clearly the underdog in this equation.
Pittsburgh and St. Joe's are at the head of the class, but it was a visit to Pitt that created the confusion for Mallon. "Everybody on the team's been great," Mallon said of Pittsburgh. "The only thing different was the campus. I was favoring St. Joe's before I went to Pitt this weekend."
Mallon excelled in Las Vegas with the Donyell Marshall Foundation. He's got great size, but his skill level is very good and any of the teams left on his left would better themselves for obtaining his signature.
He's thinking of some sort of management major at college. Mallon also stated that the campus is a big part of his decision.
