Sam Warren, 6-8 JR C Denver (Col.) Montbello, is a mobile big man with developing offensive skills. With continued improvement, he has a chance to play at the high major level.

We spoke with Warren last night and asked about the schools that have shown interest in him.

"Pepperdine, Columbia, SMU, Denver, Colorado and Colorado State," said Warren.

Warren told us that Denver and Colorado have been out to his school to watch him practice.

We asked if he had given any thought to which schools he might visit and Warren replied, "SMU, Columbia and Pepperdine -- I want to visit all those schools."

Warren said location will likely play a role in his decision. "I'd like to get away from home," said Warren.

Early playing time is another big factor for Warren. "I'd definitely like to go someplace where I can play right away," said Warren. "I'd like to play someplace where they press and emphasize defense."

Warren told us that he wants to take a few trips and doesn't foresee an early decision. "I'd rather wait and take my time," said Warren.

Qualifying doesn't sound like it will be a problem for Warren -- he told us that he has a 3.6 GPA.
