Missouri Lands Third Recruit

Last weekend, big man Kevin Young made an unofficial visit and true to the word of his coach, he has a decision. Young made the commitment on Monday.

Quin Snyder now has three inductees into his Class of 2002 recruiting effort. Joining guard Jimmy McKinney and big man Giedrius Rinkevicius is Homestead (FL) Berkshire center Kevin Young.

The native of Jamaica made his unofficial visit to Columbia last weekend and wound up committing to the Tigers over Big East member Miami.

"I think Missouri is a really good situation for him because of where the program is headed," Berkshire coach Rolando DeLaBarrera. "They've got a lot of good young players in the program and that means they'll be a perennial NCAA team for years to come.

"I think he'll be able to establish himself within the group."
