"What attracted me was the coach and how well he teaches the individual instruction," Holloway said. "He can really get your body into NBA shape. I'll be ready for it."
Holloway has been working on his body on his own this year. He's already lost some weight and said that he's 280 right now. He's looking forward to learning under Rick Pitino and working on his game and his body.
"With my game he can help me get more athletic and tone my body more up. He'll help with more moves and getting stronger."
Holloway played his first game of the year on Wednesday and scored 15 points to go with 10 rebounds.
Last summer, Holloway attended the Nike Hoop Jamboree and then played at the adidas ABCD Camp. He was named an all-star in the underclassman game at ABCD.
Holloway is one of those guys with a good long range projection. Inside that big frame is a player. Aside from his obvious size, he's a talented young man who is just feeling his way out on the court. He's a high-major prospect and the kind of player Pitino likes to work with and help improve.
