Dozier Still Likes Memphis

Lithonia (GA) High senior small forward Robert Dozier has a leader and a list. The No. 75 prospect in the country is starting to entertain some schools.

Robert Dozier, a 6-7 small forward out of Lithonia High in Georgia has scored 18, 16 and 20 in his first three games of the season. "I basically play [every position] in high school," Dozier said.

Colleges don't see it that way. Most are recruiting him as a small forward where his athleticism and natural scoring touch come in handy.

If you don't recall, Dozier actually committed to Memphis during the Nike Camp this summer. When it came time to sign the papers, he wasn't ready to make it happen. "I didn't have anything to compare Memphis to. I just rushed the decision."

Still, according to Dozier, Memphis leads. "They're still No. 1 so far." But, there are others.

Dozier said that he's committed to taking a visit to Miami. UAB, Georgia and North Carolina State have shown much interest; all have offered except the Pack which recently had a scholarship become available.

What's important to Dozier is easy to explain. "I just want a good coach who gets along with everybody and gives me a chance to play that's all."

Shouldn't be a problem.
