Butler To Visit Illinois, Miami and UNC
Massachusetts native Keith Butler is prepping this year at Celestial in Philadelphia. He's already visited Temple and Cincinnati. This weekend, he'll be in Champaign spending a weekend with Bill Self and Illinois.
According to his high school coach, Darryl Schoefield, he'll be at North Carolina the weekend of Oct. 27 and Miami the first weekend in March.
Schoefield says that his star player isn't leaning anywhere right now. "To be honest with you, I don't if there is a leader. He hasn't expressed it."
Butler made a huge splash protecting the bucket and rejecting shots this summer for Leo Papile's BABC program. Now, he's working on his offensive game. "His footwork is getting better," Schoefield said. "We're working on post moves. He's coming along. He already has excellent hands."
Butler is an important recruit nationally. The number of Top 100 caliber big men is small and each of the schools recruiting him are in need of that position, thus the importance of Butler and the reason why the race appears to be tight for his services.
