One of the real beauties of Lamarcus Aldridge's game is how he finds guys on the perimeter. Lexington sagged well against him and he was able to pass out of double and triple-teams with relative ease and that means open 3s on the next level. His rebounding total was low because he closed out on shooters on every possession. …

Wilcox Central shot 0-for-14 from 3-point range against Fort Myers. … Wilcox junior power forward Yamene Coleman played with foul trouble against Fort Myers and scored just 4 four points to go with 3 rebounds. Part of his problem was that he wasn't able to recover defensively which led to some preventable situations inside. … Fort Myers was led by Brent Messner who scored 21 points. …

Marcus Johnson's one-handed throw down with Zarron Cann chasing was one of the plays of the event thus far. … Gabriel Pruitt can do a lot of things and he's a wiry athletic guard. His athleticism was on display as the first quarter closed and he caught a rebound and in one motion shot a 10-foot fadeaway with body control. … Lexington Catholic shot 8-for-15 from behind the arc in the first half against Seagoville and that was basically the fuel the engine needed. They finished the game 10-for-27 on 3s. …

Mid-majors are going to put Raines' 6-5 junior PF James Juwann on the radar. He's really undersized but he's one of those ultra-competitive guys who eats the glass. He had an impressive 19 and 12 rebounds. … One thing that stood out about Louis Williams is his coachability. Prior to the game he made sure he took a seat on the S. Gwinnett bench and reviewed the personnel of Raines with a coach. …
