2005 Focus: Savoy Fraine

Savoy Fraine, a 6-6 junior forward from Granada Hills, gives us an update on his recruitment...

Savoy Fraine, 6-6 JR SF Granada Hills (Calif.) High, is a very skinny, and long, forward who has some intriguing aspects to his game.

He's not yet strong enough to be effective against more mature players, but he does have very long arms, pretty good feet and decent skills for his size. He can step out to about eighteen feet or so with a decent, although unorthodox, shot.

With some added weight and strength, along with a little more intensity, it's possible he'll draw interest at the low to mid major level.

We spoke with Fraine yesterday and he told us that he's been receiving mail from a variety of schools including Stanford, UC Irvine, Harvard and Oregon, among others.

A good student, Fraine has a GPA of 3.4. He's currently averaging about 23 points a game.
