Winchester To Re-Open Recruitment

Last week, John "The Rifleman" Winchester, committed to Tennessee. Now, he's wondering if he was a little quick to pull the trigger.

Winchester To Re-Open His Recruitment

Sometimes, things happen to quickly. Last week, John Winchester announced his intentions to attend Tennessee. However, upon revisiting the issue with his family, he's decided to reconsider.

According to his high school coach, Marvin Reed, Winchester is re-opening his recruitment. "I called Buzz Peterson and explained to him that he had a lot on his mind," Reed said. "He says he likes Tennessee and he felt as though he may have rushed the decision."

Winchester reached the conclusion after speaking with his family. "He had left and went home for the weekend," Reed said. "He wanted to see his mom and when he went home they had a conversation about his decision. I told him as his coach I would stand by him."

Reed said that Winchester is still considering the Volunteers but is also interested in looking at West Virginia, Boston College, Florida State, Texas and NC State. So far, he's made official visits to Tennessee and West Virginia so he has three trips remaining.

Winchester is looking to do something during the early period.
