Richmond, JMU Visits Left
Power forward Brad Nuckles, a standout with the Tennessee Travelers, has already taken official visits to Clemson, Davidson and East Tennessee State. This weekend he'll be at Richmond and the following weekend James Madison. All five of the schools remain in contention to land him.
Nuckles is looking at a lot of components that will go into the decision. "There's not really one factor," Nuckles said. "The coaching staff, style of play and chance of me actually getting to play is really important. Maybe if they have a lot of players in front of me, but I'm not scared of the challenge."
Nuckles is a gifted outside shooter for a young man his size. What he'll need to work on is boosting his inside skills, but he played another sport this fall, which should help him conditioning-wise for hoops season. "I haven't got to work hardly on [the inside game]," Nuckles said. "I've got tough classes and cross country just ended." Nuckles said the cross country training wasn't that bad. "It could be but we don't train like that. We just run four days a week."
He's looking forward to his senior season and would like to sign in the early period. "We should be good. Last year we won the state championship but we lost three starters."
