2003 Spotlight: Brandon Wallace

Brandon Wallace is on a loaded AAU team but somehow he manages to standout. This Class of 2003 swingman has already seen a number of schools swing by to take a peek at him this fall.

Unofficial Visits Planned

Aiken (SC) Silver Bluff small forward Brandon Wallace, a 6-7, 180 pounder, is already receiving recruiting interest from a number of schools. Larry Shyatt of Clemson dropped by to see him in September, as did assistants from South Carolina and Furman.

Wallace said that he plans on going to a hoops game at Georgia Tech in early November. He's also going to attend the Tennessee game against Vanderbilt in the same month. He's already been to Clemson unofficially.

Wallace is a slender three-man who can stroke the rock from downtown. On his AAU team, he's flanked inside by sophomores Re'Sean Dickey and Damien Harris, a couple of promising interior players. His high school team should be very good this season.

"We didn't do too well last year," Wallace said. "We had a lot of injuries and lost two guys to grades. We have a pretty big team this year." That might be an understatement, as Silver Bluff's frontline will go 6-7, 6-6 and 6-7. "We want a region championship and a trip to Columbia."

Brandon says he receives a ton of mail these days. In addition to the aforementioned schools, he really likes Duke, Maryland and UConn.
