McKay Looking to Impress

Schuyler McKay, a 6-3 wing from Los Angeles, has had an impressive senior year. Will it result in a scholarship...?

Schuyler McKay, 6-3 SR SG Los Angeles (Calif.) Price, has a lot of things you look for in a D1 guard. Good size, terrific athlete, good defender and competes very well.

However, McKay doesn't do one thing well -- shoot the ball. When you're playing the position of "shooting guard" that can be a problem. As a result, a number of schools are looking at McKay but not all of them are sold on him.

We spoke with McKay after his game at the California Hoops Challenge this past Saturday. We asked him which schools have been in contact with him lately.

"Fullerton, Northridge, Sacramento State, Arizona State, Cal Poly and San Diego State," said McKay.

McKay hasn't taken any visits yet and doesn't plan on any in the near future. "Not until after the season," said McKay.

We asked McKay if there was one school in particular that he liked. "I like San Diego State," McKay said.

McKay told us that he has a 2.8 GPA and scored 980 on the SAT.
