Anthony Goods, 6-2 JR PG Corona (Calif.) Centennial, has the size, athleticism and skills to rank among the top point guards in the west for 2005.

We spoke with Goods after his game Monday at the MLK Inland Invitational and asked about the schools that have been expressing interest in him so far.

"Villanova, Arizona, Stanford, Oregon, San Diego, San Diego State, Texas Tech, Oregon State, UCLA, Washington, Colorado State are some of them," said Goods.

We asked if any schools stand out at the moment for him and Goods replied, "I like Stanford, Arizona and Villanova right now."

Goods told us a couple factors will be key in his recruitment. "Academics and early playing time -- those are important. Location doesn't really matter." said Goods.

While he hasn't yet been on any official visits, Goods has visited one campus. "I went to Stanford last summer for their individual camp," said Goods.

Don't look for a quick decision from Goods. "I'd like to get it done during the summer, but my Mom wants me to wait and take my time," said Goods.

An excellent student, Goods told us that he has a 4.0 GPA and scored 1020 on the SAT when he took it last year. He plans on taking the test again this Saturday.
