Taylor Harrison, 6-9 SO C San Clemente (Calif.) High, has some very intriguing qualities for a young big man. He's got good size at 225 pounds, he plays with great energy and he likes to bang. And while his offensive skills are still coming, he does have good feet and moves very well. We think he'll likely end up as a high major prospect.

We spoke with Harrison after a recent game and asked about the schools that are expressing interest in him.

"UCLA is the major one right now -- they've shown the most interest," said Harrison. "I'm also hearing from Utah."

We asked Harrison if location is an issue for him. "I love the West Coast weather, but I haven't spent much time in the East or Midwest, so I don't have much to compare it to," replied Harrison.

Harrison said he hasn't given a lot of thought to the issues that will influence his choice.

"Other than playing basketball at a good school, I haven't thought that much about it," said Harrison.

We asked him if early playing time is something that he would consider and Harrison said, "It'd be such an honor to go to a school where they're paying for my education -- to play any time would be great."

Harrison told us that he has a 3.8 GPA.
