Dawgs In The Lead For Dozier

Robert Dozier, a senior forward out of Lithonia, Ga., has a leader. He's thinking about the SEC and the Bulldogs are squarely in the mix.

Robert Dozier, a 6-8 forward of Lithonia, is looking at five schools but he's got three ahead of the pack. Memphis, North Carolina State and Georgia are tracking him and are out in front of UAB and Miami.

The Bulldogs are in great shape. "I'd have to say Georgia [leads], probably," Dozier said. "I get along with the coaches and I feel like I can play a lot when I get there. It's right down the street from my house so my parents can come see me play a lot."

Recently, Dozier made a visit down to see the campus in Athens. "It went fine. I already knew a lot about them. The visit was basically for my dad. I had been there to a couple games. I pretty much knew about them." Getting his mother to visit the campus will be the key in securing a commitment for the Bulldogs.

"I got to get my mother on the same page. My dad went to UGA [on the visit] and she didn't. That's the only reason I haven't made a decision yet. Plus, I want to wait and visit some other schools."

On Thursday, Auburn sent an assistant coach to watch practice.

"I'm going to try to go to N.C. State and Miami [on officials after the season]. I can drive to UAB and Auburn. I've already been to Memphis."
