Kansas Junior Guard Picks Big 12 Program

Antonio Hanson isn't a household name nationally, but one Big 12 school knew all about him - and liked enough of what they saw to accept a commitment from the Liberal High (Kan.) junior guard.

Antonio Hanson, a 6-1 1/2, 180-pound junior guard at Liberal High (Kan.), committed to Oklahoma State.

``He was just real comfortable with the staff," KC Pump 'N Run coach LJ Goolsby said. "He liked the players, also. It was a perfect fit."

Hanson also received interest from Georgia Tech, Wichita State, Arizona State, Marquette and Kansas State.

``He can play the point and also shoot the ball," Goolsby added. "He's got a knack for passing the ball. He has good court vision and just has to get stronger."

Hanson, who is a lefty, played the point in the summer, but plays mostly the two in high school because of his scoring ability.
