Adams Picks Wildcats

Hassan Adams is headed to Arizona, per our sources. The commitment gives the Wildcats two for the season and both of them are significant.

‘Zona Class Has Quality

Not everybody has five scholarships to work with this season. By rule, Arizona can give out just three this year. They've given out a pair of them and both went to outstanding talents.

Lute Olson had the top-ranked point guard in the west committed to Arizona and now he has the top shooting guard prospect from that area as well.

On Saturday, sources confirmed that Los Angeles (CA) Westchester shooting guard Hassan Adams made a commitment to Arizona. Adams had been looking at Kansas, UCLA and California as well.

The Wildcats signed a five-man group last year. This year the needs were not as great, but the roster spots are loaded with quality. For instance, Chris Rodgers will one day run the point for Olson. He's the best point guard prospect in Arizona's neck of the woods.

Adams is simply one of the finest shooting guards in the country. He's the best player on one of the best high school teams in the country. Few attack the basket with the ferocity, toughness and athleticism that Adams brings to the table. This guy rebounds and plays hard at both ends.

Other programs have more signees but few can rival the quality recruits that Arizona has landed. Two recruits, both among the best at their positions nationally, means Arizona will have successfully overcome the numerous early defections of last season.
