Arizona State, UConn Battling
Last week, Garland (TX) High power forward Ike Diogu tried reach a decision about his college future. He couldn't.
Now, Diogu says he plans on deciding by Tuesday. He's also trimmed his list to a pair of schools.
"Right now, it's really between Arizona State and UConn," Diogu said. Previously, Illinois had been among a group of three.
Diogu's brother, a former Division I college football player, will be coming to town to chat him up. "[The decision] probably is going to be Tuesday. My brother wants to talk to me and he wants to come down."
UConn would appear to be the school, which needs to make up ground. Diogu has been loyal to Arizona State from the beginning of his recruitment. The Sun Devils actually led for most of the process by themselves until the Huskies and Illini closed the gaps after visits. However, our sources hold true that Arizona State remains very, very strong.
