Just this week, Garcia took time to take in a college game at Georgetown. "I drove down to Georgetown to watch them play Pittsburgh and I visited the gym and the facility," Garcia said. "It's pretty impressive with Patrick Ewing and Allen Iverson. They've lost a lot of players and they're trying to build back up."
Garcia thinks very highly of the staff and situation at Georgetown. "I'm going to wait and visit the other schools but I really like Georgetown and I like what I see. I like the fact that it's a strong academic school with good linguistics program and international business."
In addition to the Hoyas, Garcia is hearing a lot from Florida State, Michigan State, Virginia Tech and Richmond. The head coaches at each school, except for the Spartans, have seen him in person. Garcia is quick to point out that while he likes the schools that are on him, he's not going to close the door on any others that want to get involved.
Garcia's plan calls for official visits to Florida State and Michigan State when the season is over. He can visit with Virginia Tech and Richmond unofficially if need be since they are within driving distance.
