Dozier Takes Third Visit

Senior small forward Robert Dozier, a 6-8 prospect ranked No. 75 in our pre-season rankings, made an official visit last weekend. Dozier says he's ready to take more trips.

Behind the scenes, there is talk that Lithonia (GA) High small forward Robert Dozier, is close to committing to Georgia. Regardless of the chatter, Dozier hit the visit circuit last weekend as he went to Miami and spent a few days checking out Perry Clark's program.

Dozier acknowledges that Miami made up some ground during the visit.

"[The visit] was good," Dozier said. "The way they got it set up position wise, I would fit in perfect. They don't have any three guys. The three man they have now is 6-2. They're playing 6-2 guys against 6-7 guys."

The player acknowledged that Miami was working him for a commitment. "They're trying to get me to [commit]. I'm not ready yet. I want to make all my visits first to be sure."

So far, Dozier has visited, in addition to Miami, Georgia and Memphis. UAB and North Carolina State remain on his list but the latter has not spoken to him in two weeks.

The Blazers appear to be next on his visit stop. "We're trying to see what they're going to do in the tournament first."
