2005 Focus: Ronnie Aguilar

Ronnie Aguilar, a 6-10 junior center from Marshall High in Los Angeles, has received interest from Pac-10, WCC and Mountain West schools, among others...

Ronnie Aguilar, 6-10 JR C Los Angeles (Calif.) Marshall, told us yesterday that he's been hearing from Oregon State, UC Davis, Wyoming, Ohio, Santa Clara and Bucknell, among others.

We asked Aguilar if he had given much thought to his college choice and he said, "not really. I do know that I'm interested in medicine, so that's something I'll look at when choosing a school."

Aguilar said distance from home isn't a big deal. "I'd probably like to go away, I think," said Aguilar. "I like to travel."

Playing time is something Aguilar is considering. "Playing time is sort of a big deal," said Aguilar.

Aguilar isn't close to choosing a school. "I'm going to take my time," Aguilar said.

So far, the only coaches that Aguilar has talked with are the Oregon State staff.

Aguilar told us that he has a 3.6 GPA.
