#1 JR Center to Take Second Visit

Perhaps the best pure center in the national junior class is 6-10 Eric Boateng from Middletown (Del.) St. Andrews School. Boateng has already taken one official visit and will take his second later this month...

Eric Boateng, 6-10, 220, Middletown (Del.) St. Andrews School is currently ranked the #12 overall prospect nationally and perhaps the best pure center in the 2005 class.

Boateng, a native of England, really earned his reputation last summer when, at the Nike Camp, most scouts and college coaches saw him for the first time. He has a very long, strong body, with very good athleticism, and the ability to get off the floor quickly to rebound and block shots. His offense is still developing, but he has a good basic offensive feel. He missed half of his junior season with a foot injury, but college coaches are still in very hot pursuit of him.

Boateng, to date, has taken a number of unofficial visits, to Michigan, Duke, and North Carolina, among others.

In March, Boateng visited Michigan officially.

Now, according to the athletic director at St. Andrews, Boateng has plans to take his second official visit this month, this one to UCLA. He'll go west April 18th, during a time when his school isn't in session.
