Junior Lawrence Hill is the team's marquee player. The 6-8, 200-pound combo forward from Deer Valley High is attracting interest from the likes of Stanford, UCLA, Illinois, Kansas and Arizona. He'll be joined on the frontline by athletic 6-7 shot-blocker Ty Morrison, a star at Trevor Browne High who is headed to prep next season, and 6-7 swingman Joey Shaw, who can really light it up from the outside and is getting early interest from the likes of UCLA, San Diego and Colorado State.
The backcourt will be impressive as well with Brewster Academy-bound guard Harvey Perry, who hails from Las Vegas and played at Cheyenne High last season, as well as 6-foot junior Darren Jordan, a strong floor leader who also possesses impressive quickness.
``We have a good backcourt and have three four-men who are 6-8 or taller," Magic coach David Grace said. "We're very versatile and can slow it down or speed it up."
The bench will be young, but talented. Sophomore wing Christian Polk and freshman guard Jared Bayless are already making a name for themselves and 6-10, 190-pound junior James Anderson should give Grace more size up front.
``The thing I worry about is that we've gotten a lot of attention lately and I want the kids to stay humble and hungry," added Grace. "But we have great kids and this state has never had this much talent."
