Traveling Team: SRAP

It's going to be hard - nearly impossible - to find a better duo than Greg Paulus and Andray Blatche this year.

With arguably the top floor leader in the junior class and perhaps the best big man as well, opposing teams will have their hands full when the face SRAP.

Greg Paulus, a 6-2 junior point guard who has already committed to Duke and is also an elite quarterback, will run the show for his coach/father, Dave Paulus. He'll also have a big-time target down low in 6-11, 220-pound Andray Blatche, who plans to spend next year at South Kent (Conn.).

Paulus and Blatche will need some help, though, if they are going to knock off the big boys from around the country. They should get it from the likes of Our Savior New American (N.Y.) 6-8, 240-pound widebody James Tchana, who is nearly fully recovered from injuries suffered in a automobile accident that claimed the life of teammate Kevin Mormin more than three months ago.

McQuaid High's 6-foot senior Jim O'Sullivan will give the team some scoring alongside Paulus in the backcourt while 6-7 ½, 195-pound sophomore Corey McGee from Fairport High rounds out the starting five.

``We go into this a little differently," Dave Paulus said. "We want to make it a great experience for the kids. Winning is not the only goal here. We want the kids to improve and to have fun." ``We've got good chemistry and we can run the floor, rebound and score," he added. "This group can really play any type of style needed."
