Junior Profile: Shaun Davis

Shaun Davis, a quick, high-scoring point guard from San Diego, is another terrific prospect in a junior class deep in point guards. We spoke with Shaun's high school coach about the schools showing interest so far...

Shaun Davis, 5-10 JR PG San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln Prep, is the #5 rated prospect at his position in the west. Davis is very quick, with an excellent handle and a good outside shot. He creates well for others and has a knack for getting his shot off inside despite his size.

We spoke with his high school coach, Charlie Paulk, recently and asked about the schools showing interest in Davis. Paulk said that UCLA, USC, Oregon St., Auburn, Georgetown, Nebraska, UConn, Wichita, St. Louis, San Diego and San Diego St. have all expressed interest in recruiting Davis.

We asked if Shaun had any particular favorites growing up and Paulk said, "Like most kids in Southern California, Shaun liked USC and UCLA." Coach Paulk did say, though, that Shaun doesn't have any favorites at this point.

Coach Paulk also told us that Shaun really hasn't put much thought into colleges at this point. "This is all new to him," Paulk said. "He hasn't thought about when he might commit or which schools he's interested in yet."
