Bethea compares Downey to a mini Allen Iverson and Breeden is an athletic wing who goes full throttle all the time, but just needs to refine his perimeter shot.
``Devon plays with so much heart," Bethea said. "He plays so much bigger than he is. He's not afraid to go in and attack people."
Josh Dollard, a 6-8 wing at Prince Avenue Prep (S.C.) who was recently reclassified into the junior class, will start at the three-spot with 6-8, 260-pound Allen Taylor rounding out the frontline. Another undersized guard, 5-8 Jeremiah Richardson, will team with Downey in the backcourt.
Richardson's teammate, 6-7 sophomore Mike Jones, is expected to get major minutes off the bench. Juniors Rashad Bennett (6-1) and Zack Rich (6-2), a sharpshooter from Lexington High, will also get minutes – along with 6-6 power forward John Thompson.
``I think we're better without Ra'Sean and Zam," Bethea added. "On any night, any one of our guys can beat you. It doesn't have to be one or two guys every game. It can even be someone coming off the bench. These guys really love playing together."
