The 6-8 ½, 250-pound Athens High (Ala.) power forward just returned from an official visit to North Carolina this past weekend and is scheduled to take his second – and likely final – official trip to nearly Alabama in less than two weeks.
``I don't know," Hendrix said about the Crimson Tide still holding a significant edge over North Carolina. "I wouldn't say anyone is behind. I think they're about even."
``It was real impressive," Hendrix said of his trip to Chapel Hill. "The best thing was meeting all the guys and how good they made me feel. It was everything I expected and more."
Hendrix will take his official visit to Alabama on May 14 before trying to make a final decision between the two schools.
``I definitely want to wait until after the Alabama visit before making a decision," Hendrix added. "People think I know everything about Alabama, but I don't really know a lot of the players – and that's what I'm really looking forward to in a couple weeks."
``I'm going to hold out," he said. "I'm not going to rush into a decision. I'm going to take my time."
