Fresno Gets Winchendon Mates

Fresno State got a pair of Winchendon teammates when Illinois native Dominique White and Californian Donovan Morris signed earlier today.

For Dominique White and Donovan Morris, it was worth the wait.

The Winchendon School (Mass.) teammates, who both had luke-warm interest throughout the school year, both signed with Fresno State on Thursday.

``It's been unbelievable not really knowing what to expect," White said. "I'm so excited. It's a lifelong dream."

White, a former scoring point guard who has turned himself into a floor leader who makes his teammates better, helped lead Winchendon along with Morris to the NEPSAC Class A title this season.

Morris is a versatile 6-3 wing from California who committed on his visit.

``For me, it was kind of tough," White said. "Recently, Miami and Southern Miss had started showing me interest. But Fresno has been there since November and I'm all about loyalty."

``I really enjoy playing with Donovan and that was a big part of my decision," added White, who committed on Wednesday. "For him, it was easy because he wanted to play close to home."
