The Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson junior committed to Georgia Tech on Thursday night.
``He's got great upside and potential," Georgia Stars coach Norman Parker said. ``He's getting better every game and understands how to play." ``He wanted to stay close to home," added Parker. "Tech had so much success last year and they'll be losing their big guys, so he felt he could play early. Paul (Hewitt) and his staff did a good job on him after Houston and he and his family felt ral comfortable with them."
Aminu is a long athletic forward who runs the court well, blocks shots and is developing his offensive game. He is the regional triple-jump champion and averaged 20 points and 12 boards last season. Georgia, Cincinnati, Miami, South Carolina and numerous other schools started to get involved after the Kingwood Classic last month.
