Rutgers Still Leads For Farmer

Anthony Farmer has a favorite and a timetable. According to the father of the 6-foot-1 guard, a decision could come within weeks.

For Anthony Farmer, a 6-foot-1, 165 combo guard out of Richland (NJ) St. Augustine's, making a college choice is likely to happen before the beginning of the wild summer camp circuit.

"It'll probably early July," Anthony Farmer, Sr. said. "It'll be soon. It may even be sooner, who knows. It's broken down to three schools and we've just got to see St. John's, that's what it's all about."

When Farmer's father talks about "three schools" he means St. Joe's, St. John's and Rutgers. Georgetown, Wake Forest and Maryland are on the bigger list but offers are not clear.

"We think it'll end up between St. Joe's, St. John's and Rutgers with Rutgers having the upper hand."

The Scarlet Knights and Hawks have already received unofficial visits. The Red Storm will get an unofficial visit in the coming weeks.

Farmer is playing with Frank Burg's New Jersey All-Stars and he'll attend adidas Camp in early July.
