Joey Cameron is not here but on Saturday, the Alabama forward committed to Tennessee. … New Jersey Shore Shots center Ahmad Nivins says that he's got a qualifying SAT score and over a 3.0 GPA. Already he's hearing from UConn, Indiana, Maryland, Florida State, Vanderbilt and St. Joe's. … Carolina Celtics sophomore shooter Charlie Dewhurst is a big time academic kid who hears from Davidson, Stanford, Penn State and Appalachian State. …

Carolina Celtics sophomore forward Jamie Skeen is interested in three schools: North Carolina State, North Carolina and Wake Forest. … We're hearing that Florida and Wake Forest are the likely finalists for Lee Bulls guard Derwin Kitchen. …Mid-State Ballerz power forward Xavier Webb has offers from Providence and Mississippi. Virginia Tech, Arkansas and Tennessee are also interested, according to Webb's coach. …

Reginald Delk and Richard Delk are going to school together, that much we know. Louisville, Mississippi State and Florida could wind up being the teams to beat, according to a source. Tennessee, Arkansas and UAB are in the mix too but not quite as strong. … Michael Douks, a power forward with the Ballerz, is hearing from UT-Martin, Memphis, Austin Peay, Murray State, Mississippi and Virginia Tech. …

J.R. Inman of the Playaz had an MRI on his hand a few weeks back. He says his top three schools are NC State, Rutgers and Maryland. Miami, Virginia, St. Joe's and West Virginia are also in the mix. …

Clearly, this is his team and the kids respect him. …

Anthony Goods, a guard with Belmont Shore, prefers structured settings over what can be a helter skelter AAU-type ballgame. He can be a system point guard in college but a two-guard in an AAU setting. … Sharpshooters center Eric Boateng must get stronger because he loses rebounds in traffic because of a lack of strength. It'll also make him a better finisher. He'll get there. …

Raymond Brewer, the point man on the DC Assault, is one tough guard. He's little but he'll fight you and can make shots. … Gerald Green of Houston Elite is a fine shooter because he almost always squares himself up on his shot. Sounds simple but not everyone does it well. …

Jerry-Davon Jefferson's athleticism slowed the Tasmin Mitchell train down. Before going to work on the glass, Mitchell was slightly frustrated but responded well. … Reginald Owens of the Memphis Bulldogs plays like the mascot he represents.
