West Coast Pre-Summer Rankings: Power Forwards

The 2005 West Coast power forwards are led by guys such as Jon Brockman, Brett Hoerner, Shaun Green and Jerry-Davon Jefferson...

The power forwards in the west for 2005 are a deep group, with a number of high major prospects in the top ten and plenty of mid major players throughout the list. Brockman is a bruising banger who plays with great intensity. He'll rebound out of his area and is effective at scoring around the basket. Jefferson has the most upside among all of the prospects and could conceivably end up the best player if he can bring a little more consistent focus to his game. He's very athletic and is just starting to show some offense away from the basket. Hoerner is a good shot-blocker, who can step away from the basket and knock down shots. He'll need to add weight and strength, but he's got nice hands and a good feel for the game. Green is a very good perimeter shooter with good size and ball skills. With an improved low-post game, he has a chance to be an effective player at the high major level. Hill is among the more versatile players on this list. He has some small forward attributes, but we think he defends a four at the next level. He's very active defensively, with the ability to step outside and make shots.
