Bell, Johnson Wait

David "Bones" Bell didn't sign a letter of intent during the early period. He's waiting on a test score but plans on being a spring signee and he should be one of the better available swingmen. Another prep schooler, DeMarshay Johnson, is in the same boat.

Waiting On A Scores

Mount Zion swingman David Bell is a high-major player that much is for sure. He's also a rare breed of available player. Bell didn't sign in the early period.

"I still need a test score," Bell said. He hasn't taken an official visit so has his full compliment remaining. He really likes Miami.

"They kept putting off my visit. I don't know if they want someone else or not. We'll see."

In addition to Miami, Bell said he likes Louisiana State, New Mexico and Mississippi State.

He's currently waiting on the results of his most recent SAT attempt. He wants to go to a school where the possibility of starting as a freshman exists.

DeMarshay Johnson says he's 10 points short on the SAT. The California native transferred to CFC to work on the score. He says that Southern Cal is showing interest.

Johnson still needs to work on putting some meat on his bones and getting aggressive. As it stands now, he's sure to attract mid-major interest as the season wears on.
