Mike Roll, a 6-4 senior-to-be from Aliso Viejo (Calif.) Aliso Niguel, is a very versatile player with a great feel for the game.

We saw Roll a few times in the spring and we were impressed with each outing. He's got a nice stroke to the stripe, very good vision and he competes extremely well.

We spoke with Roll a while ago and asked him which schools have been showing interest in him.

"I've heard from Stanford, Rice, Washington State, UC Irvine and Oregon," said Roll.

UC Irvine came out to see Roll during the spring contact period at his high school.

Asked about factors that might influence his decision, Roll replied, "The education, how good the program is, and playing time."

Roll doesn't see himself making a decision in the near future. "I'll probably wait until fall," said Roll.

A very good student, Roll told us that his GPA is 3.8 and he scored 1100 on the SAT.
